  1. Adam Clanton, the IHeartRadio SportsTalk 790 KBME AM Houston Afternoon Host, is no longer with the station according to several sources & get this: Morning Show Host Josh Innes has been suspended for the entire week following bitter dispute between the hosts. Clanton & Innes were previously working at KILT AM Sports Radio 610 Houston as well. Here's the latest on Clanton's exit & the craziness that took place: https://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/176299/adam-clanton-exits-kbme-sportstalk-790-houston https://www.chron.com/sports/article/Adam-Clanton-out-at-KBME-AM-790-12876032.php Like to know your personal thoughts on Clanton's exit & Innes' suspension: A.) Love It B.) Not Shocked C.) TBD
  2. In the aftermath of Josh Innes joining KMBE 790-AM & returning to Houston, the iHeart Media station had to let go of longtime radio host Charlie Pallilo in order to make way for Innes in the rating-crucial afternoon drive spot. Pallilo's status was not addressed in a company statement announcing Innes' hire to work the 3:00pm-7:00pm afternoon shift & station officials refused to return phone calls seeking comment om Monday. However, Pallilo's name & blog both were removed from the KMBE website & he told colleagues that he was no longer with the iHeart Media station. Innes will be paired with former KILT-AM Sports Radio 610 producer, Jim Mudd on KMBE 790 AM for the 3:00pm-7:00pm afternoon drive slot beginning on Monday, October 10th! Plus, Innes' show will be airing against the KILT afternoon drive show, "The Triple Threat" co-hosted by Rich Lord, with whom he had a very ugly, contentious relationship with during his 4 years at KILT. This sets up to being what could be one of the most contentious, nastiest, potentially entertaining ratings & programing face-offs in the history of Houston sports radio. Any thoughts on Innes joining 790-AM & how he'll do competing against his former colleagues at KILT-AM Sports Radio 610 ? http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Josh-Innes-returning-to-Houston-sports-radio-9615704.php
  3. In the aftermath of Lance Zierlein leaving Sports Talk 790 KBME-AM after 20 years in Houston Radio, it seems the musical chairs have not stopped at the iHeartRadio station in the Space City. iHeartMedia Houston announced today their new weekday line-up for Sports Talk 790 KBME-AM, Houston's Home for Your Home Teams effective July 17th. The scheduled line-up begins like this: "The Josh Innes Show" 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM (Moved from afternoons) "In the Trenches with Koch & Kalu" 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, NOON "The Matt Thomas Show" 12:00 PM,NOON to 3:00 PM "The Bottom Line" 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Veteran NFL Scout, writer & fantasy football expert Jayson Braddock joining co-hosts Adam Clanton & Sean Jones) http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2017/06/josh-innes-moves-to-mornings-sportstalk-790.html Thoughts on the updated changes going on at Sports Talk 790 KBME-AM ? A.) Like It: changes are needed over there B.) Hated It C.) Too Soon to Tell
  4. Since coming back to Houston, Josh Innes has seen the ratings of his afternoon drive show on KMBE (790 AM): according to the Houston Chronicle, they reported the afternoon host has seen a noticeable audience uptick in the February book, posting the first month-to-month increase of his tenure there. Innes currently remains 3rd in the time slot among sports stations, & he will require at least 4 more months of comparable growth to gain back what KMBE had lost in that time slot since his arrival, but anything's possible. http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Josh-Innes-radio-ratings-increase-in-February-11020426.php Thoughts on Innes' afternoon drive show's ratings & audience increase ? A.) Love It B.) Hate It C.) Too Soon to Tell
  5. According to specific sources, Josh Innes has been given the big boot from 94.1 Sportsradio WIP in Philadelphia, PA. "We can confirm that Josh Innes is no longer with WIP," a spokesperson said in a statement. "Various station personalities will fill-in during the afternoon show until a new host is announced." There's more of how Innes managed to waste huge opportunity in the City of Brotherly Love with his controversial antics: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/real-time/Josh-Innes-is-out-at-941-Sportsradio-WIP.html Comment on Innes' firing & tell what you think about this!
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, it's looking like Josh Innes has managed to ruffle feathers at other radio stations in Philadelphia, PA. Philadelphia Magazine reporting that WIP's Josh Innes wasn't in any mood to forgiving The Fanatic's Mike Missanelli for the latter's controversial tweet (later withdrawn) about NY Giants WR Victor Cruz's injury during Sunday's Eagles/Giants football game. (Missanelli claimed he didn't know Cruz was injured when he posted the tweet in question). "He's the outright, undisputed king of douchebaggery in the city of Philadelphia," Innes groused during his Monday night show. He then proceeded to read a series of faux Missanelli Tweets from throughout history: on topics ranging from JFK's assassination to the Hindenburg: that were plenty tasteless in their own right. They're the kind of gross enough. http://www.phillymag.com/news/2014/10/14/wips-josh-innes-goes-mike-missanelli Reaction from Innes feuding with other sports radio talk show hosts in Philadelphia?
  7. It didn't take too long, but some people are now calling for the removal of Josh Innes at WIP Philadelphia. He's also been receiving some death threats from a couple of Philadelphia sports fans. http://www.burlingtoncountytimes.com/news/not-so-funnyman-innes-should-be-taken-off-wip/article_cd456c3e-6238-5888-ba5c-51f658d0f5p.html Reaction from anyone on this development ?
  8. The Houston Chronicle's David Barron has reported this story: Josh Innes, the polarizing but popular co-host of the afternoon drive-time show on KILT since December 2010, has left the station for a similar position in Philadelphia and will be replaced in January by longtime KGOW host Sean Pendergast. Pendergast, who has worked for KGOW (1560 AM) since the station launched in 2007, will join Rich Lord on KILT's afternoon drive show beginning on January 3rd, said KILT program director Ryan McCredden. Innes will begin work that same day at WIP-FM, one of the country's longest-running sports-talk radio stations. His final show on KILT (610 AM) was Thursday. Innes, who had been at KILT since December 2009, said he was leaving Houston because of the challenge of working in a hard-core sports market like Philadelphia and because he no longer wanted to work alongside Lord. "The main reason I decided not to stay here is that I didn't want to do that show with Rich anymore," he said. "I don't really like him. I'm not going to say that I'll miss him or that he's a friend of mine." Innes, however, had high praise for his other KILT co-workers and for McCredden and former CBS Radio Houston executives Brian Purdy and Gavin Spittle, who hired him for his first major-market radio job. http://blog.chron.com/sportsupdate/2013/12/josh-innes-leaving-kilt-for-job-in-philadelphia/ Any reactions from anyone on Innes leaving 610.
