  1. I don't know, but the old Holiday Inn / Heaven on Earth Inn gives much inspiration on the possibilities for this pile of dung.
  2. Wow, it's like a super sized version of Midland from this angle, absolutely stunning.
  3. Childhood memories, it was my go to store to see Santa in the 1960s. Also, it's just an interesting mid-century design. Maybe relace the neon in the same style, but with the new development name.
  4. It's unlikely they would incorporate the iconic Sears sign into the project, but we can wish
  5. So is there a permanent pool/fountain (wondering about the circular basin) or is it all storm water retention ?
  6. Easy fix, just rebrand the project as "Seamist Heights"
  7. Lets see, 1. Biotech hub win gives Dallas edge to be the next medical research hotbed. 2. 8-Story Residential Building At 829 Yale St. - "Houston Real Estate CEO, Lawyer Named In $15M Fraud, Racketeering Suit." 3. The Ritz-Carlton Residences to be located in the Woodlands. 4. Blocks of cleared empty lots along Montrose @ Westheimer going south. No sign of development in sight. Feel free to add to the list, seems like Houston is well on it's way to becoming the Detroit of Texas.
  8. And another question, what is this boom thing ?, it appears to be part of the structure.
  9. It seems like a little more work is needed to construct what looks to be a roof top mechanical parapet in the rendering before topping out? That's only if they are holding true to the rendering of course.
  10. Garages have to be larger to handle all the land yachts, 4x4's & Stomper Bullies so beloved in our fair city.
  11. Hate to disagree, but if you look at the original renderings the total height of 24 floors seemed to include the crown. I counted a total of 21 habitable floors in the rendering. and I now count 21 completed floors. While nearby, I observed that the protruding rebars of the last floor are bent and interwoven 90 degrees. I'm no architect, but I've seen this enough to know it usually indicates the completion actual floor space. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it appears to me.
  12. I hope you're right. Now that the crane is gone, I'm having doubts, unless they're laying cinder block or something similar for the transition up to the diamond.
