  1. Atleast they are serious about the project and are updating the renderings. The last time, they were talking about the Toyota Center was proposed now they actually have the Hilton Americas in the rendering and light rail. The location is also awesome, not sprawly like some of these awesome developments happening 10 miles away from downtown or in the suburbs. lol. This is happening right next door to Main Street Square across from the Courtyard by Marriott. Hope this gets off the ground. This is the exact same thing as the one in Denver.
  2. I have to agree with some that LTAWACS says. It seems like developers never get the point around here, and then they never realize why the city never gets a good rep. There are so many developments that could have changed the face of the city if they were more centralized, but people who do not appreciate urbanism would never know this.
  3. Thankyou. Houston is becoming another LA with all these attractions not situated around downtown.
  4. Nice pics. I really like the urban design of the Post properties, but it would help if the facade of some of them weren't so bland.
  5. I hope the 288 and BW8 happens. The area is kind of dead. What are those yellow townhomes that can be seen from the freeway, with single family homes behind it. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
  6. Priced from $125,000-$250,000 Dont get too happy with the price because all residences are 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom Located at 2205 McKinney, near Lofts at the Ballpark.
  7. Sorry, if I am too lazy to check out the place myself, but I saw a commercial on it a while back and the area looked kind of nice, or maybe they were just sugar coating it. From the commercial, I saw more of a pedetrian oriented retail district, rather than a strip mall with oversized parking lots like Uptown Park(which I might add had so much potential if they had built it in an urban design). What exactly does Town & Country Village look like? If you have any pics, that would be great too.
  8. Well by some of my replies around this forum, you all know I am a sucker for things being dowtown, especially when it fills up the surface lots. If money was not an issue, I would definitely put something near the other sporting venues in dt to make the area complete as a sports district, since they name the other parts of downtown by distict anyway.
  9. Then we could open up the largest urban design Burger King in the world. lol. Something like ATL did with Coco Cola.
  10. Figures. I could't picture that building in the core of the TMC like by the Marriott and Methodist. By the looks of the map, it is closer to Reliant.
