    as someone who may have some infuence on what happens to that old, ugly car lot on lockwood and harrisburg, across the street from the old s&s. what do yall suggest for a business there? i was thinking a full service gas station, car wash, inspection, food mart type set up. any other suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

    i had the unexpected privelage yesterday to speak to a higher up in the mayor's office. he said the golf course is safe.

    the original ninfas and el jardin are mine and my wife's favorite in the east side. we also like del sol - always fresh and reasonably priced. it is not a mexican restaurant, but texas land and cattle in front of gulfgate 30 has an excellent steak and enchilada dinner. we highly recommend it. loma linda is fair but the portions are too small for the price. never was a big fan of doneraki's, food doesn't justify the prices. and on more than one occasion, the silverware was dirty. don carlos is ok too, but also too expensive for the quality of food you get.

    Urban Lofts has cajones. They've built in areas where I would never consider living in, at least not yet, including deep 3rd ward, and DEEP 4th ward which is an area I would not be comfortable walking around in at night. We stay in on the far east side of 4th Ward surrounded by dozens of other Urban Loft dwellers.

    there's also a run down car lot right across the street. seems this location would be excellent for a service station or something.
