Hopefully we get an update on this project in the coming weeks as the Marriott clears its staging area. Whether its shelved, delayed, or moving forward, any update would be appreciated.
But if cheaper units sells fast, why haven't they already sold?
the most in-demand units always sell first. The less in-demand units sell later and are sometimes hard to sell.
I guess I still don't understand the point the poster was making. There may very well be "good news" at the Marlowe but I am just not sure what that might be.

The water works is a protected landmark, which means they can't be demolished without a Certificate of Appropriateness from the HAHC, which is unlikely to be forthcoming.
Anything Alliance plans for that site will have to either incorporate or build around the three existing buildings. AFAIK, this only applies to the exterior of the buildings. Alliance can pretty much do what they want with the interiors without needing a CoA.
All the tracks by my house are quiet zones now. It helps highlight how annoyingly loud they are when the do blow the horns. As a constant thing, I didn't notice it every night, but now that it's once a month or two, it really bothers me.
It is, they added a rendering for the Tower and the purpose for the plat; reducing the required setback from Sage. Looks like the hotel wall will come in about 2 feet into the normal setback.
