Hwy 6 at Grisby, pretty far out but something new for that area.

Any idea whether it's on the East or West side of 6? I wouldn't think a project of this size wouldn't fit on the East side, so I'm assuming it's on the West.

Grisby is a cut through for morning commuters, and if this project is where i think it is, it's going to cause a huge backup in the AM.

Regardless, This is a good start for a somewhat delapitated and underused area.

There are new apartment complexes currently going up on the North and South side of Briar Forest at Highway 6 as well.  Hopefully all this new activity right on highway 6 (and new relatively nearby office developments) will cause some redevelopment of the business along it.  Currently just a lot of adult stores and consignment car lots and garages.

Amen to the above post. Sometimes my commute takes me down Hwy6 south instead of my usual trek via Eldridge, I10 to SH Pkwy to 59 to SL. Anyway, with the new residential development, I would hope those businesses immediately southwest of I10 and 6 would relocate until about memorial? ( first low rise on the west side) in favor of more low to mid rise commercial buildings. Then, start filling in these, what I like to call, firecracker stall lots on either side. Also, there is a long but huge swath of land on the NE side of Hwy 6 near some sort of energy headquarters? ( sorry, not sure of the name. I only travel there maybe once a week). That could be developed for shotgun like town homes.
