Seems okay...sure wish there was a J.Crew and maybe a William Sonoma or Pottery Barn for the wife...actually, maybe it is a good thing that there isn't....

I guess they could still add though.

An outdoor Katy Mills (with maybe a more "upscale" facade).

The only listed food for the grand opening will be Auntie Ann's Pretzels?

Maybe I'll show up at lunchtime with my grill and try and pawn off hotdogs and burgers for $5/piece.

I figure everything you listed will probably come later on at one of the planned centers (Bridgeland, Towne Lake or Fairfield Town Center).

I hope you are right Mr. Football, it would be nice to have some upscale retail out the Cypress way. I think we are pretty much good on grocery stores, strip malls, and casual dining chains...I understand these are needed for other developments but I feel it is time.

Eventually I am going to compose a post without ellipses...

I live a stones throw from the place and do not see anything of interest. Maybe I will stop in for a pretzel one day.

Actually I see less than 120 stores on here so I assume either they'll be adding other stores after March 27th or they'll be adding stores to this list between now and then.

For example, I'm pretty confident that Auntie Anne won't have a monopoloy on the food court - I think I remember reading Jody Maronie's or something like that would be there and I'm sure several others.

If the list does update - I'm sure it will be a lot more exciting process than watching the vintage park store list update with one crap store every other week.

No Pottery Barn outlet?

oh fudge.

Speaking of this.......did anyone hear that TX-DOT said there isn't any money to widen 290??? Man do I feel sorry for those future commuters in 10 years when everything is built out and there aren't roads to support it.

Are you being sarcastic about the Pottery Barn Outlet or are you genuinely disappointed??

Nice segue too, by the way..."speaking of upscale furniture discount outlets, did you hear about the latest US highway expansion funding rumor???"

I would be fine if they didn't widen 290, just build a tollroad and rail, then leave the highway the way it is.

It certainly reads like a joke, but the way she jocks the Woodlands in this forum it would seem a little Hypocritical to scoff at those wishing for similar developments.

You people are too serious. I grew up in Cypress and my dad still has a house there. Lighten up.

I like Pottery Barn Outlet and was hoping they would put one there. The closest one is in San Marcos.

Actually the last part of my message was actually a second response. HAIF merged the two responses into one message. (notice the spaces in the message) I just happened to hear about the expansion on KSEV 700 this morning. If any of you listened you would have heard it too.

Hmm, just noticed there isn't a Polo Outlet either...as of now, I gotta agree with Wheelnut, not much of interest to me.

Also, we should think about whether this Outlet Mall is a good thing, because I believe most stores will not build a full store within a certain distance from an outlet location. So whatever goes in here as discount, you might never get the real thing.

Hmm- if that is the case - maybe we can put in a call to Premium Outlets and lobby for an Asian Nail Salon and Spa Outlet store! Yes - brilliant!

...ok, ok - no more comments about Asian Spas & Salons from me for a while.

that's an impressive list of outlet stores. makes the conroe outlet look like a flea market, errrr more of a flea market than it already does. ;)

will definitely have to venture west to check this out when it opens.

Michael Kors and Le Creuset ... my two weaknesses. All of the little disposable money I have will likely be funneled into those two stores.

At least I'll have cute shoes and my cookware will match my kitchen perfectly (the new Caribbean color is exactly the same shade as my walls.)

I'm thrilled! Oh ... and with Harry and David I'll have access to the Riviera pears without having to pay shipping. They go on sale dirt cheap in San Marcos sometimes (when they're absolutely perfect) ... I hope the same will happen here.

Now I just have to fill out a vacation request to have March 27 off so I can be the first one in the doors at Michael Kors. scannergirl needs a new pair of wedges and a purse to match!

BB is way expensive but for some reason people don't realize they have boys clothes. The shirts/pants I get are always under $20. I just stocked up since my son is starting an etiquette class next week.

Just browsed the Brooks Brothers website. I found a nice pair of crocodile slippers for $1k. That place is expensive is an understatement. I'll have to skip that store.

I heard from the guy who does the bread route for HEB and Walmart in Cypress that a Sams club is going to be built on the land next to the outlet center. He was told he will get the new Sam's bread business. Has anyone else heard this? I really hope this is not true.

Nothing, I am a member of Sam's. I just think it is a bad fit right next to an upscale outlet mall. The original plan that I heard about was that whole area was going to be the high end outlet mall and nice restaurants. I think adding a Sam's there is a bad move.

Agreed. Bad move...for the Outlet Center & Fairfieldians (but not for Sams).

There are signs up in the wooded section next to Fairfield (just northwest of the Outlet Center) advertising a new HEB Powercenter coming soon.

If a Sams Club were to be built next to the outlet mall there would be a "mass exodus" of current Fairfield residents.

Any idea what a "powercenter" is??? Hopefully not a distribution center...

POWERCENTER is nothing more than a fancy way of saying strip mall.

Google search HEB Powercenter - http://www.google.co...HEB+POWERCENTER

Well there is a Sam's next to the Portofino Center. I don't think that ones done so badly.

Are there any houses adjacent to the Portofino Center? Sam's itself isn't the problem. Building it so close to the neighborhood is the problem.

I don't think it will be built near the Outlet Mall. I'm thinking it will be near the Grand Parkway and 290 intersection.

Looks like they are continuing to add stores to this link.
For example, when this was originally posted, there was only a pretzel place listed under food, now there are several more food court options on this page.

I always thought it should be a no-brainer for Raising Canes to simply offer a salad to put that delicious chicken in. Seriously, it would cost them like (nothing) and then they could offer a 'quasi' healthy alternative to bring in the ladies.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added more home furnishing stores. There are only a handful listed at this time.

The food choices are lacking, but they typically aren't great at outlets. I'm wondering if the Sausage Kingdom has any relation to Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago? ;)

What on earth do you buy at a Disney outlet? Scratchy south american movie dubs? scratchy tshirts with the armholes wrong? Kids don't want last year's crap.

You would be surprised at what Disney has to offer!! They have a TON of home items and other items from the Disney Store and online store at great prices. Or, if it is a Character Warehouse, they offer discounted items from the parks. There is a huge market for their stuff which is why they have been rapidly expanding.
