BCO Hiking In Houston

March 18, 2018 – 9:45 - noon

Cleveland Park

Meet at Scotland St. & Jackson

4200 Scotland St.

Houston, TX 77007

Tired of the four white walls at the gym closing in and envious of those who live in places like Colorado where hiking is at everyone’s doorstep? You don’t have to suffer inside and in silence

anymore. Bayou City Outdoors knows where the hiking in Houston is without having to travel outside the city. Discover all the trails and hideaways along the Buffalo Bayou and get lost exploring the winding flat trails, bridges, and modest hills while exercising at an easy to moderate pace. Along this six-mile hike, we pass the bat viewing area, art sculptures, and maybe even one of the rumored Buffalo Bayou alligators or Osprey couples!

We meet at Cleveland Park on the north side of Memorial Dr., where there is a foot-walkway over Memorial. The hike will begin here, and we head towards downtown on the north side of the bayou. There is parking along the street for free.

BCO Hiking in Houston rewards you with a good workout and new friends as you discover some Houston secrets along Buffalo Bayou in our Bayou City!

When we reach downtown, we’ll stop for a water/coffee break so bring a few dollars. As long as it is cool outside (70 degrees or below), this is a dog-friendly event for your canine friends who are up for six miles.
