  In the early '70's, KULF radio (790) occupied the rear of the 1st floor. By 1973, the station had relocated to the top floor, penthouse level. You entered the station's lobby one floor below. After passing the receptionist's desk, you took a large circular stair case up to the penthouse level where the studios were. I remember seeing the old Cork Club just outside the entrance to KULF, abandoned. There's a lot of potential for this building, but, I'm afraid that, structurally, it may be too far gone.

  This building is wonderful and should be restored, this could be converted into modern residential apartments or as a boutique hotel. reopen that wonderful club on the roof. The building was built in two phases, 1955 and 1960, im told this building has been taken off the market.

  This buiilding was commisioned and built by the Houston oil man Glenn McCarthy. Building housed a bank and office complex. During the 60's and 70's there was a private night on the top. The club was called either "The Cotton" club or the "Intercontinental Club"
